EDITORIAL
Living the watercolour life

The world of watercolour is, like many others, emerging from a period of enforced hiatus. If last summer was marked by the cancellation or postponement of numerous fairs and exhibitions, the 2021 summer season seems to be taking off. Of course, one cannot yet speak of a complete recovery and a return to normal as there are many questions and issues yet to be answered. But, and this is good news, this summer promises to be pretty eventful as far as watercolour is concerned!
There are any number of fairs, exhibitions, demonstrations and master classes where you will be able to meet and mingle with fellow artists, make new discoveries, and who knows, maybe even exhibit your own watercolours. Summer is also the best time to paint on location and that is why we have chosen in this issue to share with you the secrets of many outdoor painters. We hope you will be able to put them to good use!
Happy reading and enjoy your summer!
