MEET THE ARTISTS:
Artist challenge: Three artists (Ken Thrift, Vera Dickerson and Mark Mehaffey), one subject: abstract art.
Revelations: Gilles Durand, Éric Alix, Francis Marte, Fabio Cembranelli.
Christian Graniou: An outstanding pedagogue and accomplished artist, he offers a very personal vision of watercolour.
Sergey Temerev: He is a master at painting clouds and large vistas where the sky is often the predominant element of the composition.
My favourite painting: Dean Mitchell on “Summer Light in Paris”.
Djelloul Merhab: The Algerian painter loves nothing more than capturing humanity through his striking models.
Jean-Claude Papeix: Colourful and luminous, his subtle flower paintings are in the image of their creator: discreet, sincere and passionate.
Manuel Jimenez Sanchez: The artist reveals how he transforms what he sees into successful paintings with a strong emphasis on tonal values.
Marvin Chew: Drawing inspiration from observing the world around him, he loves to paint on location.
Arkar Myo: An outdoor painter above all, he shares with us the reasons that lead him to paint from life.
Marc Folly: He is an extremely well-known watercolour artist in France. He tells us all about his background and his vision of watercolour.
Alicia Farris: She believes the luminosity that one can achieve with layers of transparent watercolor is special to that medium.
Portfolio: Corneliu Dragan-Targoviste. The Romanian artist likes nothing more than painting urban scenes.
